Wake County Block Walk for Health Care & Education

December 8, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST

Are you concerned about health care and education? Do you think we should all have affordable health insurance, and not skyrocketing prescription drug costs, inadequate coverage for mental illness, the increase in uninsured children, rural hospital closures? Do you think we need a well-funded and equitable public education system that meets the needs of all children? Healthy children, families and school communities contribute to shared prosperity and opportunity for all North Carolinians. Are you interested in mobilizing voters around the health care and public education needs (or investments) that our NC General Assembly fails to address session after session?

Well we are too, and we’re taking it to the streets!

Join us on December 8th, 1-5pm, as we go door-to-door and talk to our friends in Wake County about the important issues affecting all of us when it comes to our health, our public education and the policies the NCGA has failed to pass to make them a priority.

Rebecca and Hyun of the NC Justice Center’s Health Advocacy Project (HAP) will have all the tools and support you need to make this a fun and exciting block walk on health care + education!

First time doing something like this? That’s okay!
No experience required, just a willingness to engage in conversation with our neighbors about health care!
